Hives from antibiotics

Hi! New to group. I came down with an extreme case of hives about 20 years ago after taking round of macro I'd. (one big hive for over a year). After that, I got smaller outbreaks about once s month from heat. Dogs, paint. Etc.

I just came down with another extreme case of hives shortly after starting penicillin that I am still dealing with.

Has anyone found treatments that work better than others? I am on prednisone, Zantac & way too much Benadryl.
